Longtown is a village situated in picturesque Herefordshire underneath the magnificent Black Mountains(see map below), 10 miles from Abergavenny, 18 miles from Hereford and 15 miles from Hay-On-Wye, the world famous booktown on the Welsh border.

 

There is a Post Office and general stores opposite The Crown Inn and the village has it's own primary school a Castle which is open to the public and several galleries with local artists work on display and for sale.An ideal location to go walking on the many local trails or for the more energetic climb the Black Mountains and get an aerial view of
Longtown and the surrounding countryside. There is a local campsite opposite The Crown Inn and a local river runs nearby where you can spend the afternoon fishing.
